“This is the testimony of Samuel Vischschoonmaker, a survivor of the transport from Westerbork on October 23, 1942. In addition to his name, date of birth, occupation, and address, the document includes information about approximately 40 other prisoners whom Vischschoonmaker encountered in different camps. These include one man from his transport who was removed at Cosel and sent to Auschwitz, 5 men at Sakrau, 4 at Königshütte, 6 at Johannsdorf, 6 at Gräditz, and 2 at Reichenbach. The last name and usually the first name of each of these men is provided. His place of origin, approximate age, and fate are sometimes given as well. In addition, the document lists 16 men who were on the October 23, 1942, transport out of Westebork, including their last and first names, dates of birth, and fates.”
